Nice and comfortable farmhouse located on a lovely hill, about 1km away from the small village of Gallina, near Castiglione D'Orcia, right along the Cassia road.
The farmhouse, built as farmers house at the beginning of the 20th century, has been completely restored.
The fields that surround the building are cultivated with cereals so that the landscape changes colour throughout the year. Among the grain fields there are huge meadows with poppies and several varieties of wild orchids and roses.
Walking through the paths nearby the farmhouse, it's easy to see the local fauna that populates the area: roebucks, hares, pheasants, porcupines, wild boars, and lot of birds.
The holiday home is also quite close to Monte Amiata, and it can be a good starting point to enjoy a cultural and eno-gastronomic tour that reach places worth a visit such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Radicofani, Castiglione dOrcia, S.Quirico, Montalcino and Abbazia di S.Antimo. The farmhouse is located near important sites of interest such as the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni, S. Filippo and Chianciano.
Recently restored, situated at the heart of Val dOrcia, the structure of the old building has been maintained in order to preserve the old and unique atmosphere of the place, once house where Tuscan farmers used to live and work. The original building has been divided into five independent apartments that have been decorated with antique furniture. Terracotta floors, wooden ceilings, and hand stained walls give the visitor the taste of the original environment.
From the aromatic garden it is possible to enjoy a wonderful view of the landscape and it's impressive colors: green during springtime, yellow in the summer, and ochre shaded during the winter, typical of Crete di Siena region.
All apartments have a private area, and at clients disposal there is a nice swimming pool. |

| Located at the ground floor, this approximately 58 mq. apartment is made up of a wide living room with fireplace, bed sofa and cable TV, kitchen (complete with refrigerator, stove, sink, washing machine), a big bedroom (antiquely furnished) with a double and single bed, and a complete bathroom (fully accessorized). The glass door opens to the garden, where you can find a shadowed gazebo with table and chairs. Independent entrance. |
